30 Seconds with… Adrian Neilan, Executive Chairman, AlgaeCytes

What excites you most about AlgaeCytes?

Where do I start?! A company that has developed proprietary technology, that is solving a global sustainability issue is perhaps a good starting point. The growth plans we have, in the UK and internationally, are equally as exciting; with the feedback from clients and partners reinforcing our belief that we have an extremely high quality product.

Why Discovery Park?

The infrastructure at Discovery Park is exceptional. We have access to world class laboratories, have all the necessary infrastructure we require and have a great local talent pool to recruit from. Kent County Council have also been extremely supportive since inception.

What do you do in your spare time?

I’m very fortunate in that I love what I do, so work is never a chore (well maybe occasionally!). Outside of work, my main focus is my family but I am also a bit of fitness fanatic and can usually be found running or cycling when I have some free time. I also enjoy (watching these days) sports including Gaelic football, hurling, soccer and rugby… I’m particularly looking forward to watching the British & Irish Lions this summer!
